Rosa Bonheur sur Seine, Houseboat bar on Seine River, Paris, France
Rosa Bonheur sur Seine is a bar housed in a converted river barge on the Seine with indoor seating and a rooftop terrace. The vessel features neon lighting throughout and provides spaces for dining, drinking, and gathering across multiple levels.
The barge opened in 2013 as a converted river vessel positioned between two major Paris bridges. An expansion in 2019 increased its capacity to accommodate more guests.
The venue takes its name from French artist Rosa Bonheur, celebrated for her naturalistic paintings and unconventional life. Visitors experience it as a gathering place where live music and communal participation shape the social atmosphere.
The venue is wheelchair accessible and offers various spaces for relaxing and dining. Keep in mind that being on water means the structure moves slightly, particularly during windy conditions or when other boats pass.
During summer months, the venue expands onto the riverbank with a wood-fired pizza oven and additional outdoor seating overlooking the water. This seasonal transformation gives the place a different character during warmer weather.
