Lac du Grand Maclu

Lac du Grand Maclu is a mountain lake in the Jura region that covers a substantial area and reaches depths of up to 24 meters. The water sits at roughly 779 meters elevation and connects to nearby lakes in the same area.

The lake formed during the last ice age when glacial movements carved deep valleys into Jura limestone. This process created the natural water basin that exists today.
