This venue opened as part of the redevelopment of the Bikini-Haus complex, a former shopping and office building transformed into a modern hotel with dining and entertainment spaces. It has since become established as part of Berlin's contemporary nightlife and rooftop bar culture.

The name playfully references the jungle theme decorating the space, with artwork featuring gorillas and giraffes that echo the real animals in the neighboring zoo below. Local and visiting crowds gather here after work and on weekend evenings, making it a meeting point for Berlin's social life.

The bar is open from early afternoon most days and from noon on weekends, staying open well into the night. It is wheelchair accessible and reservations are recommended for evening visits, especially during busy periods on weekends.
