Rostock City Wall
The Rostock City Wall is a medieval fortification that once encircled the old town and remains partly walkable as a path today. The brick structure still displays towers and gates at several points along its length, keeping its original form largely intact.
The wall was built in the 13th century to protect the wealthy port city that flourished through Baltic trade. It suffered damage during wars but was rebuilt and restored in many sections afterward.

The walking path along the wall is flat and relatively easy to access, making it good for a leisurely stroll through the city. Sturdy shoes are recommended since some sections can be uneven underfoot.
