Rostock town hall, Brick Gothic town hall in Rostock, Germany.

Rostock town hall is a brick building with seven towers in the city center, featuring elaborate facades made from red tiles. The structure combines different building styles that were added over centuries.

The building began around 1270 as a two-story house with a vaulted cellar and grew over generations to meet the needs of a wealthy Hanseatic city. Multiple reconstructions shaped its appearance from the late medieval period through the early modern era.

The Ratskeller inside the building holds regular civic meetings and functions as a central gathering space for the local government and community events.

The location is central in Rostock and easy to reach on foot, with the red brick architecture visible from a distance. Visitors can explore the outer facades and the surrounding old town, which shows many other historic buildings.

The seven towers display notably different building periods, with older sections being solid and later additions more ornate. This variety makes it possible to read the city's history in the architecture itself.
