Cañón de Añisclo

Cañón de Añisclo extends ten kilometers through vertical limestone walls carved by the Bellós river, featuring spectacular waterfalls including the renowned Fuen Blanca cascade.

The canyon's formation spans millions of years of fluvial and glacial erosion that shaped the sedimentary rocks of the Aragonese Pyrenees mountain range.

The San Úrbez hermitage near the canyon represents local religious tradition and serves as a historical reference point for transhumant shepherds throughout centuries.

Main access is from Escalona with an information center, free parking facilities and marked trails suitable for hikers of various experience levels.

The canyon exhibits thermal inversion allowing cold-climate plants to grow in the lower shaded and humid sections of the gorge.
