Antalya Aquarium
Antalya Aquarium is a large complex with four themed aquarium sections and a tunnel spanning 131 meters with glass walls all around that visitors can walk through. The site contains more than 40 different tanks displaying ocean habitats like the Atlantic, Pacific, and Red Sea, as well as freshwater sections showing rivers from Africa, South America, and Asia.
Antalya Aquarium opened in 2012 after roughly eight months of construction, becoming a major attraction in the city. The facility was designed and built to showcase marine life from multiple ocean regions in a modern setting.
The aquarium serves as a gathering place where families and tourists explore ocean life together across themed zones. Visitors experience different marine environments and interact with displays that represent ecosystems from around the world.
The site is located just a few meters from Konyaaltı Beach and is easily accessible by bus or minibus. Plan to arrive at least one hour before closing time, as hours vary by season with extended weekend access during warmer months.
In the Snow World section, real snow falls from the ceiling every night and temperatures stay at minus 5 degrees Celsius, allowing visitors to experience winter conditions in a warm coastal city. This unusual feature for a beach destination provides a rare chance to enjoy genuine snow in a tropical climate.
