Palm Towers, Twin skyscrapers and office building in Doha, Qatar
Palm Towers are a pair of nearly identical glass-clad skyscrapers in downtown Doha, Qatar. Both towers rise to about 245 meters, have 58 floors each, and are topped with antennas that extend their total height further.
Construction on Palm Towers began in 2006 and took roughly five years to complete. The towers were finished in 2011, during a period when Doha was heavily investing in its urban infrastructure.
The Palm Towers sit at the heart of Doha's business district, where many international companies have offices. During the day, the entrance areas fill with workers and visitors moving between offices and nearby restaurants.
The towers are in a busy part of downtown Doha, surrounded by other tall buildings and hotels, making the area easy to explore on foot. Those wanting to photograph the exterior will find early morning or late afternoon light works best for catching the glass facade.
Although the towers serve primarily as office buildings, their design as a matching pair was intentional from the start, to create a visual anchor in the skyline. This sets them apart from many other tall building projects in the region, where each tower tends to stand alone.
