USS Iowa is a preserved battleship turned museum ship in Los Angeles. Its long deck, gray metal sides, and large gun turrets show the scale of a vessel built for heavy naval work.
The ship entered service in the early 1940s and was later used in the Korean War. After being modernized in the 1980s, it became a museum open to visitors in Los Angeles.
