The Prague Castle spans 70,000 square meters, featuring multiple palaces, churches, and defensive structures arranged across extensive grounds at 250 meters elevation.

The construction began in 870 AD as a seat of power for Bohemian kings, later becoming the residence for Holy Roman emperors and presidents of Czechoslovakia.

The castle incorporates Romanesque, Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural elements, including the St. Vitus Cathedral and St. George's Basilica.

The castle complex opens daily from 6:00 to 21:00, welcoming over 2.5 million visitors annually through its various exhibition spaces and guided tours.

The castle holds the Guinness World Record as the largest ancient castle complex, measuring 570 meters in length and 130 meters in width.
