Mikulčice Archaeopark, Archaeological park and museum near Mikulčice, Czech Republic
The archaeological complex spans 50 hectares and contains remains of stone churches, fortifications, and burial grounds from the Great Moravian period.
The settlement developed in the 8th century and flourished until the early 10th century, serving as a center of the Great Moravian Empire.
The site houses foundations of twelve stone churches, a princely palace, and over 2,500 graves that reveal social organization of early Slavic inhabitants.
The visitor center provides exhibits, guided tours, and educational programs about Slavic heritage, with detailed information panels in multiple languages.
Glass panels throughout the park show virtual reconstructions of original buildings, allowing visitors to visualize ancient structures in their original locations.
