The Church of Saint John of Nepomuk is a Baroque building in Ostrava with an ornate facade and decorative details both outside and inside. The interior spaces display characteristic early Baroque features including decorated walls and architectural elements that define the structure.

The single-nave church was built from the 1760s to 1779, probably to a design by the Příbor builder Václav Röhrich, near the site of the demolished Church of St. Nicholas. Cracks and drainage problems followed, and consecration came only on 13–14 July 1801, when relics of St. Urban, St. Vitalis and St. Corona were placed in the altar. Storms in 1833–1834 tilted the tower, a clock was installed in 1862 and a chapel added in 1899.

The church is dedicated to Saint John of Nepomuk, an important figure in Czech Catholic devotion. Visitors can observe religious ceremonies and community gatherings that maintain local traditions and spiritual practices.

The church stands on raised ground in the centre of Stará Bělá, in Ostrava's eastern outskirts, not in the city centre. It is oriented east-west, with the main entrance and the 37 m tower on the south facade; the sacristy adjoins the east end of the chancel and the 1899 chapel the west end of the nave.

The church stands beside the site of the former Church of Saint Nicholas, demolished in 1790; the old churchyard became the cemetery. During the consecration on 13 and 14 July 1801, relics of Saint Urban, Saint Vitalis and Saint Corona were placed in the altar.
