Bumbálka, Mountain saddle in the Turzovska vrchovina, Moravian-Silesian Region, Czech Republic

Bumbálka is a mountain saddle at 870 m on the main ridge of the Turzovská vrchovina, between the Beskydok (953.1 m) and Beskyd (900.1 m) peaks, on the Czech-Slovak state border in the Moravian-Silesian Region. Road I/35 (E442) from Valašské Meziříčí through Makov to Bytča and Žilina crosses it, and the main European watershed runs through the saddle.

The saddle lies on the main ridge of the Turzovska vrchovina between Beskydok (953.1 m) and Beskyd (900.1 m). The road I/35 (E442) from Valasske Mezirici through Makov to Bytca and Zilina crosses it, and a Moravian part of the former border crossing stood here, with a mountain hotel and a ski lift; the Slovak part lies a few hundred metres lower.

The name Bumbálka is used for the saddle on both sides of the border, and the red-marked ridge trail from Makovský průsmyk meets the yellow trail from the Trojačka settlement here. The international long-distance hiking route E3 also passes through the saddle.

Multiple marked trails connect to the saddle from both Bílá and Makov, with difficulty varying by season and weather conditions. Winter requires proper gear or avoidance, as snow can make the path hazardous.

Near Bumbálka lies the point in the Czech Republic farthest from the sea, the country's pole of relative inaccessibility. The saddle also carries the main European watershed, so water falling on one side drains to the Black Sea and on the other to the Baltic.
