The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary is a Baroque plastered single-nave brick building with a Gothic core and a prismatic tower, standing in the centre of Stěbořice. It is a cultural monument and the village's main landmark.

A church dedicated to Saint Nicholas was founded in the village around 1320. It was rebuilt in Gothic style at the end of the 15th century, given a new vault in 1771, and modified again in the mid-19th century. The cemetery beside it was abolished after World War II.

The parish holds an annual regional sports event, the "Memoriál otce Jožky", named in honour of the priest Josef Motyka, who died in 2013. The parish garden beside the church, with its statue of the Virgin Mary brought from the Austrian monastery of Kinderalm, was revived largely through his work and is now cared for by his successor Klement Rečlo.

The main entrance opens during scheduled masses and special religious celebrations throughout the year. Visitors should check opening times since access depends on religious services and events.
