The park contains multiple walking paths, mature deciduous trees including linden and maple, and several outdoor sculptures displayed throughout its grounds.
Established in 1875 as the Municipal Cemetery of Moravská Ostrava, the area transformed into a public park after the cemetery closure in the late 1950s.
The park features sculptures from International Symposia of Spatial Forms of 1967 and 1969, including the piece Young Life by Eva Kršková from 1961.
