Integrované bezpečnostní centrum

The Integrated Security Center is an operational facility in Moravská Ostrava that serves as the central emergency dispatch hub for the Moravian-Silesian Region. Inside, multiple specialized control rooms manage and coordinate responses from fire, medical, and police teams across the area.

The center began operating in 2011 after consolidating 15 previously separate dispatch operations that worked independently across the region. This merger created the first unified emergency coordination system for the Moravian-Silesian area.

The facility represents the evolution of Czech emergency services, integrating multiple response teams under one roof to serve 1.26 million regional inhabitants.

The building is visible from the outside but not open to the public, as it operates as a highly secure administrative facility. Visitors can observe the modern architecture from the street, but entry is restricted to authorized personnel.

The facility received nearly complete funding from the European Union, making it a significant transnational investment project for the region. This substantial external support reflects how important modern emergency infrastructure is for a border-adjacent area.
