Architects František Lydie Gahura and Vladimír Karfík designed this residence in 1927 for Jan Antonín Baťa, who managed the Baťa shoe manufacturing enterprise.
The villa represents the architectural philosophy of the Baťa company, which transformed Zlín into a model industrial city during the early 20th century.
The garage stands separately from the main building, positioned four meters lower on Nadkostelí Street, with an outdoor staircase leading to the house.
The structure features a distinct curved southern facade that spans the entire height, with four windows on each floor separated by inter-window pillars.
