The A. Max Brewer Bridge is a concrete bridge that crosses the Indian River and connects Titusville with Merritt Island. It features three continuous spans and accommodates vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.
The bridge was first built in 1949 to provide a crossing over the river. A comprehensive renovation took place in 2011 to address structural problems.
The bridge bears the name of Albert Max Brewer, a local attorney who made significant contributions to the Titusville community before his passing in 1966.
The bridge is easy to cross and offers good views of the Indian River and NASA facilities on Merritt Island. There is ample space for all types of traffic and clear pathways for crossing.
Next to the main bridge is a fishing pier measuring 300 feet with decorative railings and lighting. This area is popular with anglers and visitors looking to experience the river up close.
