Cannibal, Steel roller coaster in Farmington, United States
Cannibal is a steel roller coaster at Lagoon Amusement Park in Farmington that runs along a track stretching 2,735 feet and climbing to 208 feet (63 meters). Riders travel at speeds reaching 70 miles per hour (110 kilometers per hour) through a series of inversions.
The park opened this attraction in 2015 after a two-year construction period. The design and build took place entirely in-house, an approach rarely seen among amusement parks.
The design team at Lagoon Amusement Park created this roller coaster independently, showcasing American engineering capabilities in the entertainment industry.
Visitors must be at least 48 inches (122 centimeters) tall to ride, and each train holds twelve people in three rows. The experience begins with a slow vertical lift that leads into a steep descent.
The main drop tilts beyond 116 degrees, sending riders into a backward-leaning free fall. Near the end, the train spirals through a full rotation directly above an artificial waterfall.
