Jet Star 2, Steel roller coaster at Lagoon amusement park in Farmington, Utah.
The Jet Star 2 is a steel coaster at Lagoon amusement park in Farmington, Utah, standing 44 feet tall and spanning nearly 1900 feet of track. It features an electric spiral lift system and inclined helix sections without any inversions.
The ride first operated at Expo '74 in Spokane, Washington, running from May through November 1974. It was relocated to Lagoon amusement park in 1976, where it has been operating ever since.
This coaster draws families who return across generations to share the same riding experience together. You will often see parents and children, or even grandparents, occupying the same train for a moment of common excitement.
Riders must be at least 50 inches (127 cm) tall, and each car requires a minimum of two passengers. Each train accommodates up to eight riders, allowing groups to spread across multiple cars if needed.
In 2005, the ride underwent a complete color reversal during a repainting. The track changed from red to yellow while the support structure switched from yellow to red, giving the coaster a fresh appearance that regular visitors immediately recognized.
