Craighead County Courthouse, Art Deco county courthouse in Jonesboro, United States

The Craighead County Courthouse at 511 Main Street is a two-story brick building with limestone trim, built in 1934. Its stepped form has an oversized second-story central block flanked by smaller two-story wings, with single-story sections projecting front and back. Fluted limestone panels accent the corner projections and roofline, and the main entrance is recessed between fluted panels.

The building was constructed in 1934 under the Public Works Administration as the fifth courthouse on this site. It followed earlier structures destroyed by fires that resulted in the loss of county records.

Near the main entrance stands a copy of John Paulding's World War I memorial Over the Top, placed in 1920. Visitors often mistake it for E. M. Viquesney's Spirit of the American Doughboy, a different sculpture of the same subject.

The building sits at 511 Main Street in downtown Jonesboro and is easy to locate. It serves as the hub for county administrative work and record keeping.
