Addison Apartments

Addison Apartments is a nine-story residential building in Charlotte with a steel frame covered in light brick and cast stone. The entrance features a two-story portico that frames the main access point to the building.

Construction was completed in 1926 under developer J.A. Jones and architect Willard G. Rogers. The building earned National Register status in 1990 in recognition of its architectural importance to Charlotte's development.

The Classical Revival style reflects 1920s preferences for formal, proportioned residential design in Charlotte's growing downtown. The ordered arrangement of windows and decorative stone elements show how residents of that era valued structure and visual harmony in their homes.
