BB&T Financial Center

The BB&T Financial Center is a modern office building in Winston-Salem featuring green glass and steel construction that defines the city's business district. The structure rises prominently above surrounding buildings and serves as a recognizable landmark in the downtown area.

The building was constructed in 1987 and adopted its current name following a major bank merger in the 1990s. This change reflected the evolving role of financial institutions in the city's development.

The Piedmont Club on the nineteenth floor spans 13,232 square feet, offering dining facilities and event spaces for its members and business gatherings.

The building is located downtown and easily accessible on foot from the city center. Visitors should note that public access to interior areas is limited.

Following BB&T's transformation into Truist Financial in 2019, most of the building remains vacant and faces potential government forfeiture due to legal complications.
