Oakdale Cotton Mill Village
Oakdale Cotton Mill Village, Industrial heritage site in Jamestown, United States.
The industrial complex includes a three-story brick office, an L-shaped factory with a four-story tower, and five warehouses across 50 acres of land.
The Logan Manufacturing Company established the mill complex during the 1880s, with 33 frame worker houses constructed in the early twentieth century.
The mill village represents North Carolina's textile manufacturing heritage, with buildings reflecting the Italianate architectural style of industrial communities.
The site contains 37 structures including manufacturing facilities, worker residences, a blacksmith shop, and a brick smokestack from the industrial period.
The mill operation continued until 2006, leaving behind a complete industrial community with its original layout, infrastructure, and residential buildings.
