Woodlark Building, Historic commercial building in downtown Portland, United States
The nine-story Woodlark Building features Beaux-Arts detailing and stands 132 feet tall at Southwest Alder Street and 9th Avenue corner.
Constructed in 1911-1912, the building served as headquarters for Woodard, Clarke & Company and Clarke-Woodward Company pharmaceutical enterprises until 1924.
The structure represents early 20th-century commercial architecture and includes design elements from the Late 19th century American commercial style.
The building transformed into a hotel in 2018 after a renovation project that combined it with the adjacent Cornelius Hotel property.
The ground floor housed multiple businesses through decades, including a drugstore, Sherman Clay piano store, and currently offers dining services.
