Westhaven State Park

Westhaven State Park is a coastal park on the Pacific in Grays Harbor County that provides access to beaches and trails through natural shoreline areas. Located near Aberdeen and Hoquiam, it contains developed day-use facilities and natural coastal terrain for outdoor activities.

The park began as a standalone protected area and was merged with Westport Light State Park in 2016 to form a larger conservation area. This consolidation expanded the protected coastal landscape available to the public.

The beach here draws families and locals who spend time walking the shore and exploring tidal pools when the water pulls back. These everyday activities shape how people connect with the coast throughout the seasons.

A Discover Pass is required for vehicle entry, available for purchase online or at various local vendors. Day-use amenities and parking are provided for visitors exploring the beach and hiking options.

The park operates on a daily tidal cycle with significant changes between high and low tide that reshape the beach landscape regularly. This natural rhythm creates different environments and exploration opportunities at the same location depending on the time of day.
