San Miguel Mountain, mountain summit in Chula Vista, California, US

San Miguel Mountain is a peak in San Diego County standing at 782 meters (2,565 feet) above sea level. The summit sits above the eastern part of the metropolitan area, offering wide views across the region and into surrounding valleys.

The site became a broadcasting hub starting in the 1960s, when television stations began installing transmission equipment at the summit. This role shaped the mountain's development and continues to define its landscape.

The mountain's name comes from Saint Michael, a name Spanish missionaries gave to the peak. The former trail on the south side, once popular with local hikers, is now closed to protect the natural environment, so the summit is reached only by the gated service road.
