Salisbury Viaduct, Railway bridge in Somerset County, United States.

The Salisbury Viaduct spans 1,908 feet across the Casselman River valley, reaching a height of 101 feet above the water level.

Built in 1912 by the Western Maryland Railway during the Connellsville Extension project, the viaduct operated as a single-track railway until 1975.

The structure transformed from a railway bridge into a section of the Great Allegheny Passage, connecting communities through recreational activities.

Visitors can access the viaduct from an unpaved parking lot on Johnnypopper Road, located 150 yards from its southern entrance.

Seven construction workers lost their lives during the building process of this steel structure that now serves cyclists and pedestrians.
