The 1,405-acre wildlife sanctuary features seven miles of trails through forests, meadows, wetlands, and the slopes of Lenox Mountain.
The Massachusetts Audubon Society established Pleasant Valley Wildlife Sanctuary to protect the natural habitats and diverse ecosystems of the Berkshires region.
The sanctuary center provides educational programs about local wildlife, including guided tours, lectures, and hands-on activities for children and adults.
Visitors can access the trails daily from dawn to dusk, with entrance fees of $5 for adults and $3 for seniors and children aged 2-12.
The sanctuary contains active beaver colonies along Yokun Brook, where visitors observe lodges constructed from tree branches and mud.
