Berkshire Museum, Art and natural history museum in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, US.
The Berkshire Museum contains over 40,000 objects across multiple collections, including fine art, natural science specimens, and ancient artifacts from various continents.
Paper manufacturer Zenas Crane established the museum in 1903, drawing inspiration from the American Museum of Natural History and the Smithsonian Institution.
The museum displays works by Paul Cézanne, Pierre Auguste Renoir, and John Singer Sargent, alongside a 143-pound meteorite and Babylonian cuneiform tablets.
The museum reopens in July 2024 after major repairs, with standard admission at $5 and reduced rates for seniors, students, and children between 6-12 years.
The Feigenbaum Hall of Innovation, opened in 2008, presents exhibitions about regional inventors and maintains the traditional cabinet of curiosities concept.
