113 East Roosevelt, Residential skyscraper in South Loop, Chicago, US
113 East Roosevelt is a 76-story residential tower located in Chicago's South Loop along the avenue of the same name. The building holds nearly 800 rental apartments of various sizes, from studios to three-bedroom units, with retail spaces and ground-level shops open to pedestrians.
The project started in 2012 when developers acquired the site and began planning a modern residential complex. Approval from city authorities came in 2015, marking the beginning of new residential growth in the South Loop neighborhood.
Rafael Viñoly incorporated vertical design elements in the tower, creating a contemporary addition to the architectural legacy of Chicago's South Loop.
The building sits near Grant Park, making it simple to walk and enjoy views of the skyline from nearby outdoor spaces. Good pedestrian connections and nearby transit options help visitors move through the neighborhood with ease.
The development plan included a second 648-unit condominium tower and a 100-unit townhouse community with an associated park along Indiana Avenue.
