The district preserves architectural elements from Greek Revival, Gothic Revival, and Rustic styles through buildings constructed between 1830 and 1910.
The district includes several walking paths connecting historical structures such as Cedar Lodge, Old Elm house, and the remains of Quarry Village.
The preserved boatyard from 1860 and Yacht Narragansett from 1880 demonstrate the maritime activities that once thrived in this industrial area.
