Capitol Crossing is a large complex built over Interstate 395 with five buildings spanning three city blocks. The development combines office space, retail shops, and residential apartments in a unified location.

Construction began in 2014 and followed L'Enfant's original 1791 city plan to reconnect neighborhoods. The project bridges a long-dormant area and restores street connections in this part of the city.

The development reflects the architectural style of the surrounding neighborhoods and creates spaces where shops and community events draw people together. These areas encourage visitors and residents to gather and spend time.

The multi-level parking garage offers more than 1,000 parking spaces and many bicycle spots for visitors. The location sits just minutes from Union Station, making it easy to arrive by public transportation.

The project uses a specialized energy system with cogeneration power that efficiently supplies the complex with electricity and heat. Much of the rainwater is captured and treated through special collection systems, reducing strain on the city's infrastructure.
