Mount Cruiser, Mountain summit in Mason County, United States
Mount Cruiser rises to 1,860 meters in elevation as the highest point of Sawtooth Ridge within the Olympic Mountains of Washington State.
Two climbers, Paul Crews and Ray Layton, completed the first ascent of Mount Cruiser in 1937 and named it after their group, the Bremerton Ski Cruisers.
The mountain stands within Mount Skokomish Wilderness, offering six established technical climbing routes ranging from class 5.0 to class 5.7 difficulty levels.
The standard approach from Staircase Ranger Station involves an 18-mile round trip with 5,500 feet of elevation gain through varied mountain terrain.
The mountain features two notable sub-peaks, Alpha at 1,841 meters and Beta at 1,804 meters, with Beta marking the Olympic National Park boundary.
