Mount Lena

Mount Lena is a mountain summit in the Olympic Mountains standing at approximately 1,800 meters. Its slopes guide hikers toward Upper Lena Lake and the creek systems that drain the surrounding terrain.

This mountain formed through geological processes over millions of years with layers of sandstone and other rock formations. Glaciation during ice ages later reshaped the landscape into its current form.

The mountain serves as a reference point for mountaineers in Washington State, with 74 documented ascents registered in climbing community databases.

This location sits within Olympic National Park and requires advance planning for access. Sturdy footwear and weather-appropriate clothing are essential since mountain conditions can change rapidly.

The southeastern slopes display a rich wildflower landscape with lupines and paintbrush species. Wild huckleberries ripen on these slopes in late summer, creating an important food source for wildlife.
