Central Place, Mixed-use skyscraper in Rosslyn, US
Central Place is a mixed-use skyscraper in Rosslyn comprising two high-rise towers with approximately one million square feet of combined space, housing office and residential units alongside retail areas. The entire complex is positioned directly above Rosslyn Metro station, with retail spaces integrated throughout the towers and central plaza.
The development originated from plans first drawn in 2002 but were delayed due to the Great Recession, with construction restarted in 2014. The two towers reached completion between 2017 and 2018.
The lobby features a floor-to-ceiling video wall displaying digital art installations set against white Calacatta marble. This artwork creates a contemporary focal point in the public entrance area.
The complex connects directly to Rosslyn Metro station, making it easily accessible via public transportation. Visitors can access retail areas and the central plaza without needing to enter the towers themselves.
The office tower contains the second public observation deck in Virginia at approximately 150 meters (490 feet) high, offering views across the Washington metropolitan region. This vantage point allows visitors to see the skyline and surrounding landscape from an uncommon perspective.
