Rosslyn Twin Towers

The Rosslyn Twin Towers are two identical commercial buildings standing 381 feet (116 meters) tall with 26 floors on Wilson Boulevard in Arlington. Together they provide around 1.2 million square feet of office space and define the skyline with their matching silhouettes.

These structures were completed in 1980 and remained the tallest buildings in the Washington metropolitan area for three decades. They held this distinction until 2013 when other taller structures were built in the region.

The towers house media organizations whose news displays and broadcast screens are visible from nearby streets. This makes the location a hub where information flows constantly and shapes how people around it stay informed.

Both towers feature accessible rooftop decks that opened to visitors in 2018 for viewing the surrounding area. These spaces provide a good vantage point to see the neighborhood and understand the layout of Rosslyn from above.

The two buildings were designed by the architecture firm Hellmuth, Obata & Kassabaum and remain the tallest twin towers in Virginia. Their perfectly matched design makes them instantly recognizable when viewing the Rosslyn skyline.
