Jazz Railway, Wooden roller coaster in Moosic, Pennsylvania, US

Jazz Railway was a wooden roller coaster with a steel-frame structure that stretched about 1,200 feet and reached approximately 26 feet in height. The ride combined traditional wooden track construction with a modern steel support system, an innovative engineering approach for its era.

This coaster opened in 1925 at Rocky Glen Park as an early example of roller coaster innovation. The ride operated briefly for two years before closing in 1927, marking the end of this experimental attraction.

The name Jazz Railway connected with the music trends of the 1920s, marking a period of entertainment development in American amusement parks.

The prefabricated steel structure allowed this ride to be assembled and taken apart quickly. This made it possible to move the coaster between different locations, giving operators great flexibility in managing the attraction.

This coaster featured a specialized jump track design that produced rapid side-to-side movements during the ride. This unusual feature was rare among roller coasters of that time and made the experience more intense than typical rides.
