Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque

Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Mosque is a modern prayer complex in Al Ain with four 60-meter minarets and a layout that combines covered halls with outdoor worship spaces. The buildings surround a central courtyard and include areas designed to serve thousands of visitors at once.

Construction began in December 2013 and the complex opened to visitors in April 2021. This project represented a significant expansion of the region's religious infrastructure.

The mosque blends Andalusian and Umayyad design traditions in its arcades and courtyards, creating spaces where different Islamic architectural practices come together. Visitors experience how these historical styles remain active parts of the building's appearance and use today.

The main prayer hall is crowned by an enormous dome measuring 86 meters across, the largest in the United Arab Emirates. This dome creates a striking sense of interior space that dominates the prayer hall.
