Rinia Park, Public park in central Tirana, Albania

Rinia Park is a 2.98-hectare public park in central Tirana, built in 1950. Its western edge holds the white, terraced Taivani Center, a spider-shaped building with cafés, restaurants, a casino and a basement bowling lane, beside a water fountain. The grounds are bordered by Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard to the east and Rruga Myslym Shyri to the north.

The park was created in the early 1950s and served as a green space during the country's early modern period. A major redesign took place around the year 2000, when the site underwent significant changes and improvements.

The park's nickname "Taiwan" came from its position facing the communist Block across the Lana River, echoing the island of Taiwan facing mainland China. Every March 14, the Dita e Verës Summer Festival fills the park with evening circus shows featuring acrobats and magicians.

The park sits centrally in the city and can be reached easily from major surrounding roads. Visitors will find clear pathways and spaces for walking through the area and accessing different zones throughout the grounds.

The nickname "Taiwan" was ironic: the park lay directly across the Lana River from the communist elite's "Block", just as Taiwan faces communist China. The name survives in the Taivani Center and the Taivani Bar & Grill on the park's western edge.
