Hotel Dajti, Functionalist hotel building on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard, Tirana, Albania.
Hotel Dajti is a three-story building on Dëshmorët e Kombit Boulevard with a marble-clad ground floor. The lower level housed a ballroom, while the upper floors contained roughly 85 rooms, each with its own balcony.
The building was designed by architect Gherardo Bosio and constructed in 1942 during the Italian occupation. It was built as part of efforts to develop Tirana into a modern capital city.
The name comes from Mount Dajti, which overlooks the city from the east. During socialist times, the building represented how Tirana welcomed foreign guests and reflected ideas about modern comfort.
The building has been owned by the Bank of Albania since 2010 and is no longer operating as a hotel. Visitors can see the structure from the boulevard, though interior access is not typically available to the public.
The ground floor features a central hall with large windows that opens to a private garden tucked behind the building away from the street. This hidden green space offers a quiet retreat from the busy boulevard outside.
