Grand Park of Tirana

Grand Park of Tirana is an urban green space featuring an artificial lake, walking paths, and recreational areas surrounded by diverse vegetation. The layout combines water features, planted areas, and open spaces for different activities.

Construction began in 1955 following a Bulgarian design, transforming a former stable area into a public recreation space. The project was part of Tirana's post-war urban development.

The artificial lake was created in 1955 through volunteer efforts to build a dam that directs water flow into the city. Today this lake offers water recreation and shows how water management was woven into the park's design.
