King Mosque, Elbasan

King Mosque is located within Elbasan Castle and features a large central dome rising above stone walls. The building displays multiple arched windows distributed across its structure, allowing light to filter through the interior spaces.

Sultan Bayezid II commissioned this mosque's construction in the 1480s, making it one of the earliest Islamic structures in Albania. This building period coincides with the early consolidation of Ottoman rule across the region.
