Mozrov Cave

Mozrov Cave extends 700 meters underground, featuring three large halls connected by narrow corridors with limestone formations throughout the structure.

The discovery of Mozrov Cave occurred during road construction activities in the 1970s, leading to its recognition as a cultural heritage monument.

The cave stands among numerous archaeological sites in Vayots Dzor, including the Areni-1 complex that contains evidence of ancient winemaking traditions.

Access to the cave requires a two-hour drive from Yerevan to Areni village, followed by careful navigation through unmarked pathways.

The interior chambers display golden and yellow mineral formations, creating patterns across the walls and ceilings of the three main halls.
