Arin-Berd, Archaeological site and hill in Yerevan, Armenia.
The fortress ruins on Arin-Berd hill contain ancient walls, residential quarters, and storage areas, standing at an elevation of 1042 meters above Yerevan.
Archaeological excavations in 1950 revealed the remains of Erebuni fortress, established by King Argishti I in 782 BC during the Kingdom of Van period.
The stone artifacts, cuneiform inscriptions, and wall paintings found at Arin-Berd demonstrate the architectural and artistic achievements of early Armenian civilization.
The site opens daily with an entrance fee of 1500 dram, and visitors can reach it by taking the metro to Erebuni station followed by a 600-meter walk.
The fortress walls on Arin-Berd hill present an archaeological record of urban development from the 8th century BC through the 5th century BC.
