The four-story structure features ornate stone detailing and currently serves as headquarters for Chile's Navy Command.
This building was constructed after a devastating earthquake in 1906 destroyed the original structure, with work completed in 1910. It was designed to mark Chile's centennial and symbolize the city's recovery and progress.

Inside, the building preserves an original marble staircase and furnishings imported from Paris during its early years. These refined details were restored to their original blue color during renovation work that began in 2013.
