Our Lady of Mercy Cathedral, Babahoyo

Our Lady of Mercy Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral in central Babahoyo that stands across from the 24 de Mayo Park. The building displays traditional Catholic architecture with stone facades and religious decoration characteristic of regional sacred structures.

Construction of the cathedral began in 1963 as a major religious center for the region. It later became the seat of the Babahoyo Diocese and has since established itself as the principal church of the diocese.
