Alas Building, Rationalist skyscraper in San Nicolas, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The Edificio Alas rises 141 meters into the sky with 41 floors, featuring a steel framework structure and an antenna spire reaching 185 meters.

Between 1955 and 1995, the Alas Building maintained its position as the highest structure in Buenos Aires until the Le Parc tower exceeded its height.

President Juan Peron commissioned this building in 1950 for the Association of Unionized Latin American Workers, incorporating underground television studios in its early years.

The building contains two underground levels with parking spaces, a gymnasium, maintenance facilities, bicycle storage, and additional service amenities for occupants.

The original design included an underground bunker for protection during conflicts, which later transformed into television production facilities for Argentine Public Television.
