Edificio Rossi, Art Nouveau residential building in Balvanera, Buenos Aires, Argentina
The Casa de los Pavos Reales features six independent entrances, two commercial spaces, and decorative elements including peacocks and lions made of stone materials.
Italian architect Virginio Colombo designed this structure in 1912 for the Rossi brothers, who operated a successful footwear business on the ground floor.
The building incorporates Milanese Liberty style with Venetian architectural elements, displaying intricate mosaics and enamel murals depicting Italian countryside scenes.
The front apartments contain six rooms covering 125 square meters, while the back units offer three rooms within 60 square meters of living space.
Four pairs of red granite peacocks adorn the first-floor balconies, giving the building its popular name and making it stand out among Buenos Aires architecture.
