Ecipsa Tower, Office building in Nueva Córdoba, Argentina
Ecipsa Tower is an office building in Nueva Córdoba at the corner of Avenida Hipólito Yrigoyen and Obispo Trejo, rising 75 meters with 17 floors. Its structure contains office spaces across multiple levels, including two basement levels with building systems, all housed within the exterior of a 1900 residential mansion.
Construction took place from 1998 to 2000 on a site that once housed the Federal Courts of Córdoba. The façade of that earlier courthouse was retained and incorporated into the new tower's structure.
The building shows how Córdoba preserves its past while adapting to the present, keeping an old residential façade visible from the street while serving modern office workers inside. This blend of old exterior and new purpose reflects the neighborhood's transformation.
The building sits at a major street corner in central Nueva Córdoba and is easily accessible on foot from the neighborhood. Its convenient location puts it within walking distance of other nearby attractions and transport connections.
The tower was built using an uncommon construction method to stabilize the historic façade while excavating two basement levels in the tight urban space. This engineering approach let builders preserve the old exterior intact while creating modern spaces below.
